February Service Project in House District 4
With Census forms on their way in March, the HD4 Democrats are going door-to-door to give people accurate information about the Census process and make them feel comfortable about being counted in their neighborhood. Please click the link above for more information.

A Day of Service in House District 4
HD4 Democrats spent January 24th focusing on an alley clean-up and graffiti removal in the neighborhood of the Nettie Moore Playground.
Governor Ritter's Holiday Food Drive
The Democratic Party of Denver and the Denver Young Democrats participated in a food drive to help the Denver Rescue mission over the Christmas holidays. During the year, the Denver Rescue Mission provides shelter, food, clothing, education, and work discipline to assist individuals as needed. During 2009, the Denver Rescue Mission served 691,502 meals; fed 13,086 people through food boxes; provided 168,676 nights of shelter; distributed 196 million tons of clothing; supplied 822 families with furniture; provided 13,320 Client Service visits and received 3,900 visits in the Health Clinic. On average, a cash donation of $27.60 will feed 15 homeless people and offer the opportunity for rehabilitation and education to those seeking to change their lives.
House District 5's Food Drive for the Bienvenidos Food Bank
Thanks to the organizational efforts of Linda Masley, House District 5's Technology Coordinator and super-amazing community organizer, and thanks to the volunteer efforts of a dedicated group of Denver Dems from House Districts 3, 4, 5, and others, the event raised over $1,200 in cash donations and more than 40 crates of food for the Bienvenidos Food Bank. The event was held outside the Sunflower Market on 38th and Wolf. It was a stupendous success and the needy folks in our community were a little less hungry this holiday season.
The 2009 Sam Sandos Christmas Basket Program
A tradition in West Denver, this wonderful program provides Christmas dinners for needy families.
House District 9 Food Drive
Democratic activists in House District 9 organized a food drive in conjunction with Govern Ritter's Feed Colorado food drive. The event reached capacity in collecting non-perishible food items to benefit the neediest familes in Colorado through the Food Bank of the Rockies.
November 8 Service Day in House District 4
This event addressed the needs of the south part of House District 4, including the West Colfax, Villa Park, and Barnum neighborhoods. Lunch was served as part of a discussion on how to improve voter turnout and participation in the area, followed by a canvass of the Villa Park neighborhood.
Safe Neighborhood for Kids, Day of Service for West Denver Democratic Coalition
House Districts 1, 2, and 4 joined forces on September 12 to make the Westwood neighborhood safe for kids, cleaning up grafitti and alley ways and helping to take back the Westwood neighborhood, because that's what we do as Democratics.
Sloan's Lake Neighborhood Green-Up, August 15 and 18
A door-to-door effort in House District 4 to promote energy efficiency, weatherization upgrades, and an overall push to help ‘green up’ our neighborhood.
House District 9 Service Project, August 22
Volunteers worked on establishing an outside gardening project at a non-profit holistic senior living facility.
Westwood Community Clean-Up An Inspiring Success
Denver Democrats from House Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 joined together with Westwood community neighbors to clean a greenway and remove trash and grafitti from alleys.
