House District 7 Candidate Forum

Please join us at the 5th annual "A Taste of Puerto Rico Festival" to meet and share a kite fly and walk with Mark Mehringer a candidate for Colorado House District 7.   Get to know the candidate who can best represent the interests of the people of North East Denver.  Mark is not taking money from PACs and lobbyists, and instead is focused on talking with voters personally.

What: Festival Kites & Walk
When: Sunday, June 13th.
Where: Stapleton Central Park, Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and Akron Court, beginning in the designated kite flying area east of the playground.
Time: 2:30-5pm

President Obama has nominated seven individuals to fill vacant US Attorney positions.  One of these nominees is John Walsh from HD 7B.

John F. Walsh: Nominee for United States Attorney, District of Colorado

John Walsh is currently a Partner at Hill & Robbins, PC, where he has been since 1999. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, Mr. Walsh worked at Holland & Hart, LLP; first as Of Counsel from 1995 to 1997, and then as a Partner from 1998 to 1999. In addition, Mr. Walsh was a Legal Commentator for CBS News from 1996 to 1999. From 1987 to 1995, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. Mr. Walsh graduated from Williams College in 1983 and from Stanford Law School in 1986.

Former Captain of HD 7B, Ralph Nordhauser and I are using this opportunity to congratulate John on his appointment.  John has served House District 7, Sub-district 7B, Senate District 33, the Denver and Colorado Democratic Parties with distinction for many years.   Ralph and I wish to thank John for the long and often un-noticed service and his fidelity to the values of the Democratic Party.   His enthusiasm and hard work will be missed as we enter the 2010 election cycle.
