Volunteering for the County Party is a great way to participate in electing Democrats to office, to start a political career or even to just meet new people, make new friends and establish business or political contacts.

We have many great volunteer opportunities – whether you have a little or a lot of time to contribute, we can use your help.  Below is a list of what we need.

Captain at Large Volunteer Coordinator Needed

The Volunteer Captain at Large (CAL) is key leadership position in the Democratic Party of Denver.  This CAL helps recruit volunteers and link them up with specific opportunities to work with events, meetings, and campaigns.

As are all CAL positions, the Volunteer CAL is appointed by the Chair of the Party and is also a member of the Executive Committee.

Assistant Secretary, Democratic Party of Denver

Title: Assistant Secretary
 
Serve in a leadership role as a member of the County Board of Officers (four elected, two appointed), the Executive Committee, and the Central Committee.  Actively engage Denver Democrats in electing Democratic leaders and supporting core Democratic values and principles.  Work on communications, committee supervision, Party organization, and more.
 

Technology Committee: House District Technology Coordinator:

Works with the Technology Captain at Large. 

With our new web site we have house district portals and the ability for each House District or Sub-District Captain to publish his or her own data on the web and to use the county party email tools to communicate directly with constituents.

Communication Specialists - Volunteers Needed

Title:   Communications Specialist/Team Member

General Office Work

We rely on volunteers to keep our office open as many hours as possible to support the work of the Party. Good volunteers are needed to assist our Director of Operations in answering the phones, doing mailings, collating literature, staffing registration tables and so forth. Weekly and event-specific opportunities are available. 


Precinct Committee Person or Precinct Worker

Precinct Committee People serve as the primary connection between the Party and the voters, and represent their precinct at important Party functions. There are two per precinct. A precinct worker assists the Precinct Committee person in getting out the vote and communicating important party issues to the neighborhood.
